Formerly known as DJ RedBone,this kid is the epitome of a REAL DJ that so many have forgotten or never had the opportunity to witness. J.Phoenix continues entertaining crowds with his unique style of mixing it up matched with awesome song selection that's laced with turntablism skills which produces a very energetic and entertaining musical voyage!
His experience ranges from Top 40 dance clubs, underground electronic dance music parties (Raves), hip hop clubs, teen clubs, school/ college events, radio mixshows, playing between band sets, scratching on regional artists albums, to corporate events, weddings, fashion shows, and private parties.
In 2002, after escaping fleeing bullets in a night club shooting, he decided to blaze a trail down a less traveled path. He temporarily removed himself from the drama of club life so that he could focus on the corporate and private sectors and market his skills as a business not just a DJ.
Incorporating his management background, love for music, talent for rocking dance floors and his relentless work ethic, J.Phoenix is one of the hardest working professional DJ's in this area.
His latest accomplishment was to be one of three DJ's who opened up for Rihanna on her latest visit to Birmingham at the tornado relief concert held at BJCC which raised 500 thousand dollars for tornado relief victims of April 27th.
