DJ HOLLYWOOD Aka Michael Vice

I first starting DJing in the Spring of 1995 while in college.  I purchased my first mobile DJ set up at a pawn shop for $1500 and started DJing at fraternity and sority functions on J.S.U. campus.  I was able to make a quick connection with a radio DJ from the campus radio station and that helped spring board me to performing at various campus functions and doing live radio remotes.  From there I branched out and started playing in some of the bars around campus and tried my hand at a couple of weddings and class reunions.

After a few years I built a strong following with the college kids and was able to parlay that into a residency at a nightclub in a nearby city.  I played the college bars on Wednesday nights, fraternity/sorority parties on Thursday nights, and the nightclub on Friday and Saturday nights.  While working at the nightclub, this is where I met my fellow Fusion Entertainment partner, J. Phoenix.  For the next three years he and I worked to build the nightclub scene in the city and were able to build a steady following from the surrounding area.

In the Spring of 2000 I took a full time job in private industry and was forced to abandon my DJing career.  I burned all of music onto my computer and sold my CDs, vinyl, and mobile set up.  Even though people still contacted me about DJing, I did not start back DJing until the Fall of 2007.  By this time I had changed jobs and was able to purchase a new mobile set up and return to what I truly missed, entertaining people with the music that I played.  I also reconnected with Redbone who had moved to Birmingham, Al and we began to collaborate on new music and promoting a variety of entertainment functions.  We combined both of our mobile set ups to feature a four turntable performance  at special events.

I currently perform at a wide variety of functions at : Jacksonville State University,  Weddings, Private Parties, and Corporate Events.
